JUSTIN HASKINS: 3 huge reasons Republicans lost. Heres what they need to win in 2028

The 2026 midterm elections are over, and Republicans have some serious questions to answer. Political strategists and pundits will undoubtedly spend weeks debating what went wrong, who deserves the blame and what the results mean for the 2028 presidential election. Perhaps most importantly, imagine a society in which the federal government has relinquished enormous amounts of power to state and local governments, allowing Americans with vastly different political and cultural values to live in communities that reflect their own priorities.

Such a transformation would allow Americans to pursue dramatically different visions of the good life without constantly fighting over which ideology should control the federal government.

DOUG SCHOEN: THE BIGGEST WINNER AND THE BIGGEST LOSER IN THE 2026 MIDTERMS

This is the kind of ambitious, exciting vision that conservatism should be advancing. Unfortunately, far too many Republican politicians seem more interested in tinkering around the edges of an increasingly dysfuncti
